"...Almost Full: A Young Woman’s Guide to Growing Up turned out to be the sort of show that leaves one happier and more hopeful than when one went in."

- John Stoltenberg, DC Metro Arts

Almost Full is the culmination of an autobiographical storytelling program based in the interdisciplinary arts called SPEAK*. During the program, we focused on self expression and finding the authentic voice through literary, movement/performance, & visual arts. This project is designed to give young girls a platform for art and voice which culminates in a devised piece presented in the Capital Fringe Festival. Almost Full centered around the idea of a wheel of life, filling your plate, and breaking down doors as young women in society.
